Hi, everyone! My first name, “Seungmin,” is pronounced like “sung-min” with a short, soft “uh” sound. I typically use it in the academic community, but you are welcome to call me Jasmine.

I am a PhD student in Informatics at UCI. My research lies at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), and Health Informatics. I’m working with Dr. Yunan Chen in the HAI (Health and Information) Lab, studying how advanced technology supports or limits Caregiving and Care Work across both home and institutional settings.

I was a UX Designer for video/music streaming platforms, combining mixed-method research and low-fidelity prototyping to inform product development. I received my B.A. in Information and Multimedia Culture at Seoul National University (Mentor: Dr. Joonhwan Lee), South Korea.
